How Often Should I Come in for a healing?
A popular question after a client has come in for a session in The Healing Room is, “so when do I come back?”
The answer varies, it would be easy to answer with - “come back in 4-6 weeks” but the truth, is that it is unique to each person and what’s going on for you.
Sometimes, much like a haircut, when you need one - you need one immediately. Sometimes, you can’t anticipate when you will need one, so it can be tricky to know how far out to book your next one.
In saying that, as a general self care maintenance, it can be helpful knowing you have one booked in advance, sort of like when you have a holiday booked in - it helps you get through the harder days knowing you have something for yourself to look forward to.
I would say as a general selfcare maintenance, when things are going well, every 3 months is a good amount of time to wait until your next session. It gives you time to integrate what has come up in the healing session, to let the energy shift work it’s way through your system, and to start seeing your intuitive messages appear.
When you are going through something challenging, it can be more frequent. Sometimes I have clients who come in weekly for a few weeks, to help shift some dense energy in the body, and to find some real relief. In acutely stressful or hard times, regular sessions can really help to support you and give you some space for yourself to get you through to the other side.
My intention with healing sessions, is to show you how much wisdom and intuition our body stores for us, and how to understand this information ourselves. Once we begin to build a relationship with the inutition of our own body, it can help us to self heal with rituals at home. Ultimately, we can be our own self healers. The more sessions you have, the more it helps you to understand your own intution.
We can be our own healers, when we get to know what our body and energy is telling us. In saying that, I believe when we are in a safe space to explore this, it is helpful to have someone there alongside us. Sometimes we simply need support to heal.
Listen to your inner voice, when you feel ready to come back for a healing, come back and trust that it will be the right time.
